Not very good - fix it!

Started well BUT after 10 days of use the lampshade no longer holds its socket. By the way, the nest is not made of ceramic, but plastic is recommended - I suspect the cause of the error mentioned above. Also, the controller doesn't keep the temperature in a narrow range - a lot of fluctuation, which sometimes leads to overheating. , here are the unlucky puppies! I would do without it and take the better version. I'm sorry I'm past the return period, so I'm sticking with this thing.

Not safe for reptiles and amphibians

Bought for my hedgie. Was recommended on the site and the reviews seemed good. However, during the day the temperature will not be correct. I put 4 thermometers in the cage (2 next to the sensor) and they read 4+ degrees higher than the thermostat at different times of the day. I don't risk getting too hot or too cold so I went back and bought a wifi thermostat that allows me to see the temperature on my phone, has a too hot or too cold alarm and can be calibrated so that it matches other…

Great for aquariums, struggles a little for pups

For pup litter. Indeed, since there is a temperature sensor for the consistency of the heat. Being designed for tanks makes it difficult to install for my use. The clamp slides over the post I have it on and the sensor dangles in the cavity. No flaws but things to note for my use. The only criticism is that the heat shield is flimsy and doesn't stay in place but flies around the lamp. He also seems to find it difficult to keep warm, which could also be due to his attitude. I would definitely…

The reflector is loose but the bulb and controls are great

I think we should have screwed the reflector into the bulb socket. Both have matching threads. But either it's a crosshair, or it doesn't match, or something like that. In any case, the reflector simply hangs freely on the fitting. The problem with composite products like this is that my review touches on the weakest part. The other two parts, the lightbulb and the controller are awesome. I like a bulb that doesn't emit light (we used to have red ones). And it's nice to be able to control the…

Very useful thermostat and sensor, but the unit is VERY HOT!

Works great but gets very hot! We used this for our brooder when our chicks were 2-7 weeks old. I cut a large rectangle in the lid of a plastic bag and attached the wire mesh in the hole with decorative tape. I placed the lampshade directly onto the wire mesh and fished out the temperature sensor through the hole. The thermostat ensured the chicks were kept at an age appropriate temperature, which is much better than guessing and moving the heat source farther and farther away as the weeks go…
