Made in America: Pliers

Need to replace my old one which I inherited years ago. I wanted the same high quality American pliers as I have. Very happy.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not the best

good tool. on circlip pliers

I've only used them a couple of times and they work great where I can get them. They are too big to fit where I wanted. But they work great if you can fit them. Well made tool.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • update available

good tool. - Hand Tools

Works just as well as my old SnapOn that has finally worn out, maybe a little better. SK make good tools and this one didn't disappoint, especially for the price. It has enough grip to remove and reinstall the locking rings with little effort. The right tool certainly makes the job easier.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • No Performance

Great tool - just what I need to work on my Toyota's axle

The right tool makes you feel like a pro! And it is the right tool to remove and replace the locking ring on Toyota Land Cruiser front axle. This dependable tool will last a dozen lives of my use, though perhaps only a few lives for a real mechanic.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Secret

Genuine SK Quality Made in USA

What can I say, it's SK and it's made in the USA. I've had these pliers for over 30 years and one day they finally got lost. Bought these and wasn't disappointed, legendary SK quality and durability. When you need this type of propshaft clamp pliers, nothing makes it easier than this one. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Some issues

Very good pliers: circlip pliers

I bought these along with the SKT-7635 pliers to rebuild the NP231 transfer case (I wasn't sure which set I would need). Just like this 7635 they are very well made and work exactly as intended there is no substitute for the right tool for the job and they are made well enough that they will last a lifetime and then some if you don't abuse them I am very happy with this tool.

Pros
  • 9" angled circlip pliers
Cons
  • older model

Works for my job as a transmission/transfer case

I bought one of these because I had a lot of snap rings that I had to remove and then install new ones! I wasn't sure how far they opened, but I tried and got a maximum opening of about 1 3/4" or 1.75". I hardly fit this size. If I were to do it again I would have a bigger (ie opening) pair. As far as I remember mine sometimes slip off even though they have "teeth" to squeeze the rings causing pain!

Pros
  • Withstands heavy everyday use
Cons
  • Bits and pieces

Direct lifeguard.

It took me all day to recalibrate this CV axle and the damn Toyota clip on the axle isn't your regular dimpled clip. This is a silly tip instead of a ring with a clip. But hello to this tool because I bought it it came the next day and it took me 5 minutes to replace that damn c clip with a regular c clip tool designed for those who have dimples. Life made easier. Also, this is probably my first quality pair of pliers and I'll cherish them (I won't use them often because I'm just a DIYer, but…

Pros
  • Comfort grips
Cons
  • Only available in black
