You'd think I'd get a 12 back on the way this little beast hits. Running it at half rated power while waiting for a new amp, it still rocks my Jeep without breaking a sweat.

I waited for my box to be finished and the amp to be set up properly before I wrote a review. Now that it's here, all I can say is wow! I had no idea such a sound could come from an 8" and now the Skar will be in all my future cars.

These subwoofers are beasts, the packaging is very well put together and the subwoofers perform like no other subwoofer I have installed and I have been an audiophile for over 20 years. thumbs up from me

Little Monster! I love this thing, it hits MUCH harder than my old 12 and now it only works halfway. I have it in a custom box I made for my f150 with a 4" connector on the side and it sounds Great! I have a Skar Audio 1000.1d amp powering it, perfect for that 900 RMS subwoofer.

My husband just got it for my birthday and installed it and it totally blew up. Usually scars are amazing, we have 4 DDX10's which are just amazing and this one should have been better but I can't even spin it on tape 3 without it breaking. need warranty information

I don't know if Skar has a bad batch but I ordered one and it blew out. The cone is hard as a board. I connected about 250 watts to the amp and "Smell" started. I sent the sub back and was sent a replacement. The second subwoofer was exactly the same. Do not get me wrong. I love scars subs. I have two VXF 12s on a JL HD1200.1 and they are killing it! But not these 8s. So yeah, both are back now. I would like to keep them.

These baddies look and feel like they're about to be dumped. Too late to connect to my car but I will post a video tomorrow of just connecting them to a 2 ohm load and plugging into the box. I may need a bigger box than I have but I'll find out tomorrow. And on the ohmmeter they hold 1.9-2.0 which is better than most as some bounce around a few points but remain stable. I also had to make a few modifications to the box to make them fit. Built 2 separate boxes for the specs they need and a heck…

So I had high hopes for this subwoofer. I used to have a DD 1508 subwoofer and loved it before it exploded. Have a subwoofer, built the box to specs to drive a Rockford Prime 750 into 1 ohm. It is getting loud. But not very low, even compared to the other 8 I've had. But what really worries me is the mechanical/engine noise it makes. It's like playing Sub Free Air.
