My hair doesn't frizz and I use a flat iron to straighten and style. I couldn't adjust the setting so I felt like it did what I wanted even if the temperature was set higher than I was comfortable with. I liked the concept and the iron itself was stylish and had good readings. I sent it back and received another Sedu.

Heats up instantly. The ability to regulate the heat alone is worth the higher price. But in addition you can control the degree of the curl as the wand is thin so it is less apt to push the edges into the curl although this requires experience to master. The coating on the outside of the wand protects your fingers when you want to squeeze the end to ensure an even application. It was a worthwhile investment. I don't usually write reviews but I love this hair straightener so much I need it. My chi got hot for 10 years, I was nervous about trying something new but I'm so glad I did. It heats up quickly and is so smooth on my hair that it doesn't pull or snag at all. My hair is thin, thick and usually curly, it's turned out so smooth and shiny, more so than Chi's!

So far this is the best hair straightener I've had! My husband bought me a $500 Dyson which is said to be good for my hair but is no different than a normal hair straightener. My other straightener died so I decided to try this one. I was so disappointed when I opened it up and tried it. I had to use a higher setting (on my old one back then) and it still didn't straighten out. My hair was frizzy and I looked like I just crawled out of bed. It doesn't slide smoothly through your hair and is always ready to hook it. It just doesn't get hot enough like my old flat iron. Will definitely be returning this! Save your money!

Best straightener I've ever had! I have thick hair with high volume and curly and this straightener did it half the time and my hair is soft. A hair straightener won't even burn the skin off your hair after you've straightened it. I am very impressed.
