Works great. We attach it to the fence. There is definitely an art to making this work great, but it's pretty easy to master. Our 6 and 7 year olds use it. This saves us the trip to the school field as our 6 year old can hit the ball outside our yard. Ideal for swing practice and visual ball tracking. It's easy to tell when good contact has been made. I'm glad we bought it seems to be research. Took us maybe 5 or 6 hours so far, seems to be holding up well.

The rope was ok, but the plastic insert in the ball was worn out, there are scratches from the rope. Used once for about 30 minutes. Tried 2 days later and the ball barely went down the rope. The insert in the bullet should be aluminum or some other metal to prevent this. The first day we used it it was amazing. My son has learned to make softer turns and improve contact. This tool can be useful for developing quick-wittedness. When positioned at the correct height for the attacker, re-teaching the technique can be helpful. If misplaced, it teaches bad form. My 6 year old son got his fingers caught by the ball and after a few tries he didn't want to use it anymore. It would be a good tool for an adult to control the moving parts.

Most of them used to be really good. Eventually the rope melts or breaks; However, it is travel softball season and I opened mine up to use it for the first time, although it was delivered on May 1st and I didn't even get to use it. The design has been changed or something, there is too much friction in the ball and it doesn't even reach the batsman. It began to melt after a belt swing. Great concept. Unfortunately, the plastic disc inside the ball (closest to the handles) wore out from deep cuts after the first use. So the string finds these pieces (made by the string) at every pull. So the ball stops halfway down the line. I will try to find a replacement, the product may already be damaged. Very useful, I bought this for my 7 year old grandson for his first year in little league despite there being reviews questioning the durability of this item. I haven't had any problems with the one we use. it is now during the fall baseball program. My grandson loves this. I love this item. This makes practicing fast shots easy and accessible anywhere. It takes a little getting used to. The person controlling it needs it tight, with the ball to the end and no twisted ropes. Helps when you hit the height of the batter's hitting zone. It should be a very smooth motion, and it's best if the end is connected to something solid without deforming (it's better to be in contact with wood than a fence).
