I bought them for all my bikes. Unfortunately .

I bought them for all my bikes. Unfortunately, the included rubber bands aren't long enough to wrap my son's Specialized Pitch downtube. I contacted SKS but they don't have longer straps. I think you could zip it up or velcro or something, but how hard is it for a manufacturer to offer longer straps (I'd pay for that)?

Well designed, durable, easy to put on, easy to take off

It was exactly what I was looking for. This is a solid, beautifully designed device. It is firmly fixed and stays in place even at maximum speed. Easy on an easy start I don't usually need a wing but when I do it works great. I tried another brand that looks good in photos but is flimsy, clumsy and more expensive. But this sks Mud-X is everything I was hoping for after looking at the list. Actually it's better than I expected.

Fits outer fender

Love this little fender. I bought two for my old steel frame mountain bike that was converted to a commuter bike. They offer good basic protection against puddle splashes. I mounted one on the down tube of the frame and the other on the underside of the bike rack. None of the required changes. The attachment straps work well and if/when they rot or break I have zip ties to replace them. The "eyelets" on the back of the fender work the same on my frame and don't interfere with any of my cablesโ€ฆ

Works with limitations

This wing works as advertised. This is a good option for bikes that are difficult to mount a front fender on. Rubber clamps are easy to attach to pipes of various shapes. Rubber bands also make it easy to adjust the position of the wing. The functionality of the wing is limited to the spray hitting the down tube. If the front wheel is rotated in any way, the fender will not stop splashing from the front wheel. I've also found that in heavy rain, more water adheres to the front tire and is later

Great fender and roadworthy too!

I bought this fender to protect myself from "splashes" from the rear wheel. I recently bought SKS Race Blades but they don't have a front spring cover and I didn't want my tires to splash muddy water all over my water bottles and legs/feet. It got the job done at a low cost but with some small improvements. I had to cut the struts front and rear to keep the fender from banging against my wheel. The fender is thin enough to keep my feet off it while keeping water off me and my water bottles. The

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are some nuances

A good cheap fender is a decent size for its weight.

Very easy to fit, design fits a variety of bikes. I have a bike with an incredibly thick carbon top tube and it fits perfectly. Not sure why people think this is too low - many mountain bikes use MUCH less than that. If you want a full front fender then go for a full front fender. That's not a wing, that's a fender - another thing. The fenders should keep water completely on the tire and have virtually no clearance. They need to be adjusted very carefully if you want to get the bestโ€ฆ

Pros
  • cute item

  • Big and chunky

Incorrect dimensions on the product page. It's about 12 inches, not 16.

I do a lot of research before I buy anything and it really annoys me when they lie about product features. This item is NOT 16" long as stated in the item description. It's actually only about 12" long -_- which means it's great for small kids bikes but not so good for adult bikes. It will block a small speck of dirt from the Front wheel, but my other 15" frame front fender is MUCH better. Thought I'd get a 16" handlebar, opted for this little 12" thing instead. Not only that, it doesn't stickโ€ฆ
