Cuts threads during sports

The thing is so terrible that the threads broke the first time I used it. DO NOT BUY! It ruined my connecting rods, this puller did not impress me at all!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality of workmanship

The thread of this thing is not very well cut, or not very well cleaned/processed after processing. There is a lot of friction and points where the threads stick. If it's well lubricated, it works well.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I will add later

Torn thread

It came loose when inserting into the crank and when tightening the insert you simply backed off the puller which broke the threads. I don't know how to remove the handle now, even with a quality tool (which of course I don't have).

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons

Works for pulling new cranks

Used to pull the crank on a down tube folding bike. The thread was screwed in tightly and once fitted, it was slowly unscrewed with a sickle wrench. Pull out with little effort in less than 30 seconds. I've read reviews of stripped threads and wondered if it was because of the old twisted cranks or if they were crossing over. This tool seems to be precise.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Terrible quality at Shop Tools

The thread was not smooth, so it was difficult to screw on and off - it just wasn't possible to attach by hand. In addition, the bolt screwed into the crank could not sit securely, which caused the entire mechanism to loosen from the threads when the inner bolt was screwed in and began to exert external pressure. Don't waste your time and money with this product.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Good tool - strong threads and good materials

This device didn't suit me, but not because it was bad. After screwing the tool in almost all the way without losing grip on the crank, the tool pulled the internal threads out of the crank. This means the crank is likely caught on the shaft. The tool is not to blame. I'll consider heating the crank with a flashlight before I apply more pressure next time.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some cons

Fits me great

I don't know what the other reviewers got wrong but this thing worked great for me. Removed both cranks from my wife's bike with no problems. The threads on my tool and on the removed cranks were in excellent condition after using the tool. I hand tightened the tool as much as possible first and then tightened it to about 60-70% with a wrench. I wonder if people overtightened it and maybe that's why they pulled the strings off. Who knows.

Pros
  • Comrades
Cons
  • High price

This tool is probably more trouble than good

This tool looked used (or at least shabby). The threads were rough, to say the least, and would irreparably damage the fine threads of the aluminum handle. If you break these threads, you will not be able to remove the handle. This will result in you likely having to hit it with a hammer, destroying the crank and bottom bracket. I immediately returned the item and spent another $2 for a quality tool.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • There are nuances
