The probe tip is too short when inserted into.

Gauge tip is too short when inserted into the tire, if not done straight, the tire pressure will drop or the gauge will not display at all. It would be ideal if the pressure displayed was displayed for at least 3 seconds and then automatically reset to 0 for the second or third measurement. You need to turn it OFF-ON for the second, third reading if you want to read fast.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Difficult to tell

Died within a few months before I could even use it on the road

The batteries died within a few months before I had to use this item on the road. I tried opening it to change the batteries but the inside fell apart and got an odd size. There are options at a similar price that are better than this one. I replaced a dead block with this item - Digital Tire Pressure Gauge for Car Truck Motorcycle Bike Jeep Sedan Saloon Station Wagon 150psi Tires.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No instructions

The price is right and it's better than the good old manual print reader.

The price is right and it's better than the good old manual pressure reader. I like that it costs about $6 and has a light on the nozzle to help when trying to find a tire in the dark. I think this could be off by 0.5psi since it reads "31.5" but at the pre-inflated "32" set at the Costco tire center. but who cares 0.5 is good enough. although the dough will stand. the time will show.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

The only pressure gauge I can trust for accurate pressure readings

I need an accurate pressure gauge for various high pressure tire applications such as: I was tired of buying supposedly accurate gauges only to find they could be greatly reduced, so I tried out a few slimes. They are very small and easy to carry and use, so I can take them anywhere I need them. They are also very accurate compared to good sensors. My 3 slimes are only 0.5psi apart (at most).

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor problems

Not as smooth as it seems in the description.

Purchased 2. Gauge is too 'thick' to hide in the glove box and the 'on' button sticks out in a place where it pokes through slightly when 'stopped' other things in the glove box can be pressed ""his or access to things. In addition, the instructions state that the battery is not user-replaceable. As there are screws you could probably open as I have other types to find simple button cells but you don't know for sure. But to top it all off, the little green LED that lights up at the top, whichโ€ฆ

They work well for several years.

We had three or four of these. They work well and appear to be accurate until near demise. In a few years, two of them would not have stayed on PSI and/or not stayed "ON". You have to turn it on every time and scroll down to the PSI function. As a scientist, I can mentally calculate from PSI to KPA or BAR, but that was a sign of impending death on the meter side. I replaced the batteries in one and it never went back to zero after checking. If you were to deflate the tire, the gauge would onlyโ€ฆ

Accuracy Specifications

The following specifications are listed on the package: Range 5-150 psi; operating temperature 0-100 degrees Fahrenheit; Accuracy +/- 2 PSI at 20-100 PSI, +/- 3 PSI at 101-150 PSI. As other reviewers have said, it works as it should. You don't have to turn it off or reset it in any way between measurements. Every time you press it on the tire valve, it automatically takes a new reading. It blocks that reading on the display, detects that the pressure has dropped to zero, and updates the display

Pros
  • Reliability: includes auto shut off and long life battery
Cons
  • Clarity

Ideal for infrequent gas station checks

I usually check my tires before a long drive or when my car's tire warning light comes on. So I just always relied on the pressure gauge on the machine at the gas station. The last time I pumped up the tires it was very clear that the pressure gauge was not accurate. It was also dark and very difficult to see! Then I thought of how tiring it was to put on the retractable hose and how my quarter of an hour wasted on the pressure gauge and the sluggishness of the hose. And I thought howโ€ฆ

Decent digital gauge, although not actually slime

This slime gauge is pretty good overall. I bought it as a supplement for about $5; for the price it's worth it. Over the years I've kept various digital tire pressure gauges in the glove box of each of our machines and use them once or twice a month to maintain proper pressure. If you live in a place with four seasons, temperature changes can deflate your tires and we all know that this leads to uneven wear, reduced fuel consumption, reduced tire life, bursts, etc. Below are the PROS and CONSโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Night use: Illuminated tip for quick and easy checking of tire pressures at night
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Could be much better

This digital pressure gauge was priced right so I bought a pair to put in my cars. After using them a few times I'm going back to the old school analog tire gauges I've used for the last 20 years. First problem: you have to press a button to turn it on. Yes, it's electronic and of course needs to be turned on, but it's actually very annoying. I'm used to just sticking a pressure gauge on the valve and reading it immediately. The button is another extra step that I didn't have to think aboutโ€ฆ
