Have been using this drill for many months now. I can't express how much I love this! It's such a nice little size and it's really solid metal construction. The only limitation I've found is that the drill can only be lowered an inch. But my workaround for this is to lower the drill bit as far as you can (best buy a long bit bit) and then, after you've started drilling, raise your object to drill through a thicker piece. First, the drill press works well. As mentioned in another poster I was surprised that it has a speed controller and from low speed it can't even rotate the cartridge. (If you start it up fast and then slow it down, it keeps running, but low-speed performance is almost zero.)
