Please read PDF specification before use. Store it in the fridge when not in use. This material is great when used with a hot air station at 380-390F. Works as advertised. Beautiful shiny grout in seconds.
Solder melts great with heat gun repair stations BUT smaller dispenser tips are needed. The supplied nozzles have the same inner diameter and fit the pads 1206 and larger. Look elsewhere for something smaller.
I read a lot about solder paste before ordering this. This was the first time I used it. My very first job was soldering a Micro USB socket as a repair. It turned out incredibly easy. The worst part was just positioning the part on the pads. Once in place, soldering was a breeze. You have to press hard as expected, but it comes in just the right amount and stops when the pressure is off. I would recommend it.
I had about a dozen surface mount projects to go on soldering and wasn't very happy with the last solder paste I bought (IIRC MG Chemicals brand) so I decided to try this. The tube is smaller than the ones I usually buy, but a typical project doesn't use a lot of solder paste and I usually throw away the paste due to age before using it fully. This stuff worked great with my hot air repair station.
This compound is excellent for soldering tinned copper straps on lithium ion batteries for e-bike batteries. I press it with a metal rod or screwdriver and heat it for a few seconds until it turns metallic. Apparently no problem with the isolated positive pole. I press down firmly on the sensitive center area of the negative terminal with a flat metal rod and heat each side of the tinned copper strip in turn until the molten solder flows.
This is a great 63/37 solder paste! I've hand-soldered endless 40-pin TSSOP packages. Using this paste solved the problem the first time. Second hand. Simply coat all pads with paste. I put in a flash drive and centered it as best I could. Heated with a heat gun (330 Β° C) until the paste is melted. Then I cleaned some jumpers. Went like clockwork. The tips are ok. I would recommend getting some big ones. The paste is a bit difficult to push through the thin tips. It also takes a little pressure
