Works just great. My girlfriend kept complaining about the kitchen knives getting dull. I have a friend who is a blacksmith, he took a professional blade sharpening course. I asked his advice and he recommended this sharpener to me. Not expensive for what you get. I threw oil, just use water. Start on the grainy side of the gradient, move to the fine side, and then sharpen the stone. Easy. Now our knives stay sharp.

Thing works great I can finally razor sharp my pocket knife, trim my arm hair sharp. I don't use the included angle guide, I found it easier to just hold the knife at an angle that's comfortable for me. When I first got it I started with the rough stone doing 20 strokes each side of the blade, then went to the medium stone and did 20 strokes each side and finally the Arkansas stone doing 20 strokes each side and then another 20 punches, divided equally between the parties. stroked one sideโฆ
