After reading other reviews I noticed that the ones that had the most success mentioned folding the pieces of wood twice. It worked great! I did notice that some of these had trouble igniting or burning at first, but I found that if you hold the lighter on the wick for a while, once it's well charred, it will ignite! They'll take some experimentation, but they're worth it once you get the hang of it!

Wooden wicks work very well. For best results you need to halve and double them. Some reviewers say it doesn't burn, but they're probably doing it wrong or using bad wax. I used soy wax and it works great. The seller added a note to the package that I would receive a $10 gift card if I left a review or video. I did both and sent several emails over the course of a couple of weeks but they never responded. The product is good but the seller is rude.

Wicks are fine. For best results, you must soak for a MINIMUM of 45 minutes. I soaked the first candle for 30 minutes and it didn't work. I soaked the second candle at 50 and it burns. No crackling like Woodwick candles. You need to use 2 for a small candle so the flame is big enough to actually melt the wax because they are so thin. If I had to do it again I would buy from a different brand for this reason. The price is good, but if you have to use 2-4 wicks per candle just to get them…
