I wanted a dustpan that I didn't have to bend down to use. In combination with the tray I placed on a small low table, it helps! It's strong and easily adjustable in length, although I like it set in the shortest position, which still offers good stretch.

Love its length and that I don't have to bend down as much to empty 4 bins around my house. The only problem with it is that it doesn't lock securely in the extended position. I would tighten it but the first time I had to use it at an angle it collapsed. I think I solved the problem with thick tape. But I think the company should find a solution for that.

If the handle was lengthened another 16-18 inches it would be better. I'm not that tall, but I have to lean too far with it. It would be better if the shovel were angled slightly so that the angle at the end of the extension rod was set so that one could stand upright while digging. Waste rather than stooping almost to ground level to be able to hold our loot in the scoop would be better. As I said, that leaves a lot to be desired.

The first spoon I received did not close when removed from the filler. I replaced it and the replacement remains blocked even with severe clumps. It's strong and well made. I really don't like this dustpan. I originally ordered the black and received the red but other than that this product was much better. The handle didn't hold the position. From a long position, it moves up as you draw, and from a short position, it moves up as you draw. This resulted in the loss of what you created. This thing is very heavy. My elbow was injured while using it and was sore for the rest of the day. It was like using a small, long-handled garden shovel and digging in the garden.

I love that this item has a retractable handle, but the problem is that if you take it out and then try to lock it, it won't stay locked. This means it will lock, but when you start cleaning the litter box, it will unlock and the scoop will start to shrink, making it harder for you to scoop the litter out of the litter box.
