Ideal for any interior

So far, so good! My rabbits are looking forward to their new playground! I didn't really follow the instructions to customize it for the area it was placed in.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Functionality

Rabbit Approved Good for playpen

This turned out to be an amazing habitat for rabbits. Our bunny loves layers and all the space he has now! I used what the second would do as side panels to hang water bottles, food bowls, and his small box (he drops it when not secured). He's the happiest we've ever seen since we rescued him.

I love it!: small animals

I have yet to make a hard floor for the cage and finish building, but when I let my hamster run around here, he was so happy! The tank in the arena itself is $50, so being able to buy a playpen that's over 6 times the size of your old one for the same price is phenomenal! Thanks very much! This is where he really will live his best life!

The playpen is not suitable for rats

Based on the description of the playpen, we assumed our lab would be an excellent environment for experimenting with rat treat tasks. However, rats love to chew on all plastic objects. The walls are so thin and have gaps between the plastic walls and the tubular supports that they can easily find the edge of the plastic to start chewing to escape the playpen. We immediately returned the arena. Unfortunately we have to build our own arena out of thick acrylic panels with no gaps between the wall

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never

4 stars because it has potential.

It's cool for my guinea pigs but I'm trying not to use panels for the second floor. My guinea pigs get nervous because they give so much. I'm not worried about it breaking, but the piglets don't like it. Rabbits jump out very easily even if you run the pole up as intended and not as long as I did. Rats or hamsters can get out. The included ramps are not safe for guinea pigs unless covered so I used them for a water bottle. You can also hang a hay rack on it. I plan to use one of the ramp panels

For the Syrian Hamster

I like it when my hamster runs around the house but there is a lot of free space on the plan. I wanted to keep him in the room I was in and not watch the door like a hawk. I used a few cardboard boxes briefly, but our toddler spent a lot of time attacking them and trying to scale. Sign up for these panels. They looked quite nice and should have made good temporary room dividers. The plastic connections are solid, but it's more of a semi-permanent design. So I took zip ties (should be 100 or…

Great for kittens Best for small pets

Easy to put together once you look at all the details. The hardest part is deciding on the layout and then making sure you insert the plastic pieces all the way into the black clip holders. It's very easy at first, but as the structure grows, you rely more and more on the plastic mallet. I decided to start with a simple open space. When the kittens were 6 weeks old and can now walk with their feet, the design changed. The initial installation can be tedious. However, once these clips have been…

Cable ties BEFORE using panel connectors

I don't care about the wire mesh used for the upper access platform. It is bad for the guinea pig's feet. I think a flat plastic sheet would be the best option. I use a thick foam bath mat over wire screens to prevent my guinea pigs from injuring their legs and feet. I also believe a hinged door system would make access for cleaning easier. I replaced the plastic panel with a metal mesh panel for hanging water bottles because the plastic panels are too big for a guinea pig and none of the…
