Has worked fine for years but just got told I'm EOL and SOL

Another planned Sonos product, obsolete, anyone who bought it some time ago in 2015 just has receive an e-mail saying Sonos is no longer supporting this, which means no updates, meaning that the moment one of your music services changes anything related to how it works with its API (and thus requires an update is), you will now have a useless building block. I have a house full of Sonos devices and won't be buying any more.

Pros
  • Looking good
Cons
  • Almost everything is here

Very convenient way of listening to music but

Very convenient way of listening to music but honestly not the audiophile sound quality that was advertised and certainly not as good as a CD. The source of supply via I Pod was noticeably better. It also doesn't work with Alexa as advertised. I think they should clarify that Alexa only works with Sonos speakers, not Sonos Connect. There are many online complaints about Alexa being unable to find and control a Sonos Connect device. The Sonos app (PC) is unintuitive and could really use some…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Given the age of the technology, there is not enough memory or processing power to support future innovations. Please note that since Sonos is a system, all products run the same software. If modern products remain connected to legacy products after May, they will also not receive software updates and new features. I bought mine from Revain in 2014 and now they are telling me it is an outdated pre 2011 unit. So my entire Sonos system will have limited functionality by May. Not good. Your choice

Pros
  • . Many will do this.
Cons
  • . Some difficulties.

Legacy hardware on Home Audio

Sonos says this hardware was made over 8 years ago and is out of their update system because it is obsolete. I would like to take it to UPS. Coles is 10 miles from me. UPS is less than a mile away.

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Requires outlet
