Typical Sonos quality. Caveats

As you'd expect from Sonos, the sound is excellent and the design and interface are modern and efficient. Of course, Sonos overwhelms these benefits. Important caveat: Sonos advertises this as player support. This is not entirely true as traditional "Moving Magnet" or "MM" output turntables are not directly compatible and require a preamp. A word of caution: this device does not support Revain's "Ultra HD" music (the highest standard for music quality). With Sonos offering such great sound…

Amplifier didn't recognize HDMI after 1 month

I connected this amplifier to some speakers and got an HDMI output which I connect to my Samsung TV. It worked well for 1 month, then unfortunately after the return period had expired, the HDMI input on the amplifier no longer worked. There are no other inputs on the amplifier. I had to call Sonos, they broadcast on Sonos Uk, then they did tests, I've tried 4 different cables already. The man said he would send a 1:1 replacement. So far, no contact has been made with a Sonos replacement. Every…

Wow great on speakers

OK It's not that long ago for me but I'm still amazed at the sound quality and the relatively easy setup if you have some software/electronics setup knowledge. I hooked it up to Polk bookshelf speakers (fantastic sound) and hooked it up to Sonos Ones in the living room. Brilliant sound from Sonos Ones too. The app is very versatile, powerful and easy to use with a little experimentation. Since the reviews mentioned some of the amp's reliability factors, I bought extra insurance just in case…

Works perfectly! Best outdoor speaker

Works great as expected with ease of use and installation as one would expect from a Sonos product. I connected the amp to two large floorstanding speakers and also connected the speaker wire to a speaker selection box which in turn connected to two outdoor speakers and two existing bookshelf speakers in another room. Overall the system manages 6 speakers well, audio control via touch icons on the front of the amp or most commonly via the Sonos app. Sound is clear, hassle-free and…

Expensive but that's Sonos - now added with terrible support

See original review below. Now I'm frustrated with a Sonos device that pulls out 1.6GB every night for no particular reason. I sent a message to Sonos Support and their automated system replied that someone would get back to me within 1 business day. heard nothing With the recent decision to lock down devices and prevent customers from using outdated hardware, I'm concerned that the company will stumble over its own incompetence after its initial market success. You have purchased a Pre-Smart…

Great device depending on your need/budget.

I had very high hopes for this product. I've been using the setup for 2 weeks now with Sonance architectural speakers and 2 Klipsh aw650 bricks. The device is designed to connect up to 6 speakers, but there are only two outputs. This causes a problem with speaker balancing and speaker matching. In my case, the stones can give more bass than the sailor, so I have to reduce the power of the stones. If you want to connect 2-6 identical speakers without fine-tuning them one by one, this amplifier…

125w power and arc support = great upgrade

Coming from a Yamaha 7.2 receiver and the Sonos Amp beats it in style, power and convenience. Yes, I used to love the full surround theater sound that rocked during movies, but after a while you grow to really understand your listening habits and the woman's approval factor starts to get really strong. does not replace theatrical sound of 7.2 and larger installations (cannot change the laws of physics). With a decent speaker set, however, the music is taken to a new dimension. I mean it blows…

Absolutely great device!

I have to start this review by admitting that I'm a Sonos fan and have been using Sonos versions of multi-room music devices since 2009. When I first learned that Sonos was introducing an amplifier, I struggled to understand what they were trying to do, but now that I've bought one, my eyes have been opened. I first replaced a receiver that I had set up for 3.1 operation for our family home entertainment system. I used the same speakers and subwoofer that came with it (no center channel) and am
