Powerful little beast

This compact camera is definitely superior to Sony. I just want to start by saying that I'm an amateur photographer. So this is my first camera. I just want to say to anyone looking to buy a full frame mirrorless camera. Who doesn't know much about how to operate the camera. This is seriously the camera for you. Since this is my first camera I think I was able to take great pictures of my friends and family. I know the price might be a bit high but I'm telling you it's worth it.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Quality

I've had better cameras

Pros: Excellent battery life (3 hours recording) No recording time limit Excellent autofocus Excellent IQ Excellent low light in difficult environments 10MP APS-C still image I think the idea to make a small body for a full frame camera, silly since the lenses are so big. . The results are basically the same great 4k videos (and crappy 1080p videos) as the A7III, with fast autofocus and great low light. In my testing, I found this camera recorded just over 40 minutes in the sun and unlimited in

Overheating tests and preview compared to the A7III.

I just received this camera yesterday and did some heat related testing. Here's a review based on my short time with him. I loved the Sony A7C, not because of its (slightly) smaller size, but because it's essentially the same as the fantastic A7III, just without the pesky 30-minute recording limit. . Since almost everything I do with video is "long form", I did some stress testing and here are my initial results. All videos are recorded in 4K at 100Mbps with a 20mm APS-C lens. First test: by…

Sony A7RIII in Sony A6600 body! Light and perfect for me!

I love this camera! This is my first full frame camera! I stream everyday here on Revain and use this camera as my main camera for my streams along with a Sigma 35mm F1.2 lens. I have a light behind me so the bokeh is just wow! I used a Sony A7RII but it didn't seem to have as many features as this camera and maybe the Sony A7RII needed an upgrade as everything on this camera seemed so old! However, I also have Sony A6600, Sony A6000 and Sony A6100. I use them for streaming and they are…

Small bezel BIG performance

Always wanted to get on the Sony mirrorless hype train but never got the chance. Aside from the size, "silver" is a nice touch and I recommend this color scheme to anyone on the market as it definitely adds a bit of flair to the camera and sets it apart from the usual all black camera bodies. The fold-down screen is definitely a nice touch. I wish it was a touchscreen, but full motion is a nice touch. Definitely helps with selfies and vlogs if you do this. It's nice for me to be able to turn…

Excellent full-frame travel camera

Sony diversifies its Alpha 7 range based on the specific needs of amateur photographers - 7s (sensitivity) for video, 7r (resolution) for photos and just plain "entry". level" a7 for a decent combination of the two. Here we see their next branch - 7c (compact) for travel. If you had to compare it to the a7iii - which is inevitable because it uses much of the same technology - it isn't only smaller, it weighs less too There are some tradeoffs and improvements over a7iii: Tradeoff:…

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Uncertain

The A7c gives me access to the next level of low-light video and photography. This is something my Panasonic M4/3 (G9, G85) cameras have struggled with, even on a sunny day indoors with a good f2.8 (or even 1.7) lens the ISO can get in skyrocket. That was the main motivation for buying this camera and it doesn't disappoint with at least a 2x improvement in low light performance (max ISO set to 3200 which is usually good enough for videos and photos). I'm also very impressed with the Samyang…

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

This is an amazingly competent camera

We have had this camera since June 1st 2021 and we bought it to see if a compact full frame camera would work for us. We were looking for a smaller camera that wasn't an APS-C sensor-based camera. First, a little background. My wife and I are passionate semi-professional photographers and own a Canon R5, Canon R6, Nikon Z6 II and Fuji X T4, as well as a good range of Canon RF, Nikon SZ and Fuji XF lenses. I had Sony A7RIII and A7RIV and traded them for Canon R5 and R6 cameras. In my case, we…
