🚗 Enhance Diesel Performance with the Southern Truck 11408 1 3/4" Auxiliary Install Kit Review

The check ball in the filler neck stops working after a day and does not fill the tank. I had an RDS install kit on my last truck and never had a problem. Should have bought this kit again instead of trying to save a few bucks.

Finally got around to installing my bed's fuel tank. All the large clamps in this kit are undersized. Strange considering they send a few pieces of tubing with the kit and they don't fit. Easy fix with a trip to the hardware store but I paid for the full kit.

Very easy install on a 16 Ram 3500. Remove the factory filler tube from the tank side, 3 bolts on the filler door and it came out. Works well, no leaks and easy to use. It fills up slowly like gravity, I was worried it wouldn't fill up fast enough at full load, but haven't had any issues with it so far. I can add a pump later if that becomes a problem.

It was difficult to install but worked great. I removed the fuel hose from the tank to the filler neck fitting and then cut it as needed to fit the kit pipe. Reinstallation was not easy as space above the main fuel tank is limited. After that, the system worked fine, but it took several hours to empty the entire tank into the main tank. I completely removed the filler neck from the truck. It was easier to just cut a piece out of the metal filler tube. Completely removed from the car and clamped in a vise. I installed this on a 2019 mega cab. The reason for the 3 stars is the hardware included in the kit. The fuel line hose was tricky, resulting in kits that I pulled out fairly easily by warming up with a heat gun for a few seconds. The worm drive clamps for the T-adapter were undersized and could have been better quality in my opinion, but I had a few lying around in my shop to compensate for and avoid disappointment with tighter mounting positions.
