Your older quarter horse has developed stress points in certain places under the saddle after long rides in hilly terrain. We started looking for solutions. That was it. Drive two days recently and he became much more comfortable and accommodating.

Ordered this for our 26 year old mare, now we use it on all our horses. Holds up great! The best quality I've seen. Resumption of skating for our old lady who wants to ride. I will be buying more for our others this year.

The gel pads work great but the felt does stick together after a few rides. I never had a saddle for it. After about half a year I assume that there is hardly any felt left. This rug is much lighter than I expected for the price.

My horse is very happy with this cushion! She has a slight back curve, so finding the right saddle can be a challenge. With every saddle I've tried on her, we've always had issues with saddle slippage. This pillow completely fixed that and now my saddle stays right where it should be on her back. It's very well made and compared to similar pads it's a fantastic price.

My mare recently developed a persistent dry spot on one flank. I tried different thicknesses of saddle pads to solve this problem. I thought I'd try this saddle pad, but the pressure point was worse with it. The pillow itself is fine. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the pad is quite thin and compresses very easily. There is simply no seat post.

My gelding tends to have flat withers which causes my saddle to pinch his shoulders. Every time I rode I noticed that my saddle pad had dry patches where it was wrong. Bought to see if the extra padding under the withers would help and it certainly did! Thanks to the extra small padded pockets, sweat now constantly sweats over the entire pad.

I like this mat but I have some concerns. I love how it frees my gelding's shoulders and takes the pressure off his withers. No more wither discomfort for him and make him a freerunner. As a driver, I also like the cushion. I care about durability. As some have said, the stitching isn't very good and it really worries me that the lining doesn't have an outseam, especially when it's layered. IMO if it starts to separate the pad will be shot. But there should be a one-year quality guarantee

2020 updated review: I bought this mat back in 2016. For anyone who cares about longevity - this mat is still great! No tears, no loose seams, no compression. I waited a bit to review this saddle pad as I wanted to make sure I'd used it enough to form an opinion - oh my god my mare loves it! She has abseil certification and my barrel saddle is too wide for her. This pillow works exactly as I hoped it would: it lifts the saddle off the shoulder and flattens it on the back. Now she even has sweat

I don't normally leave reviews and I'm not sure if this will even be a full OrthoRide review but it has made such a difference I honestly didn't want to people know. I've been riding since I was a little girl and now that I'm like this, whatever, I think I've tried just about every competition with a horse you can think of.
