Great price-performance ratio for PSA

You have to consider the price. Don't expect the top of the line to be feature-loaded. If you're looking for a full-featured pair of goggles with lots of customization options, then these aren't for you. If you just need them to, say, protect your eyes from CNC plasma or lasers or the like while working on equipment, they're great.

  • great product

  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine

Great for tight spaces

I'm a mechanic and although I don't weld much I usually weld in the fender recesses and around the exhaust which are usually very tight places to get in regularly Welding helmet. These welding goggles help me work in tighter spaces. The only complaint I have is that they fog up fairly easily, but that's to be expected with any welding goggles.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Fairly weak in the heat

They may be fine for working in an air conditioned environment but if you work outside in the heat of summer they become brittle and the glass panel pulls on the rubber causing the lens to come off out. They work well, but if you have to stop and reposition or reattach the lenses every hour, what's the point? I'll buy another kind and see how they work. You go to the reserve box.

I think the old adage is true.

Everything about this product is great apart from its purpose. fogging. No problem, fits. It's not a problem, but the filter itself isn't very good. To be honest I bought this item in October and actually used it for the first time today and the filter kept flickering when I tried to weld. I bought them to use in the tight spots I was in and they flickered every second or two. I even changed the position to make sure the sensors weren't blocked and still deal with the constant flickering. I…

Good goggles for the money

These goggles work very well, slightly slower in arc response but still fast enough to be eye safe. They fit well over my glasses. I had trouble with them going dark too quickly when I had an overhead light next to my work surface, so I had to turn off the light. Honestly I had to return the first pair as the sensors were causing the auto dimming flash but not during the arc so annoying but not dangerous. The seller delivered another pair very quickly and without any problems. I recommend this…

Not for gas welding.

I haven't used my oxy-fuel torch since I moved in and couldn't find my welding goggles when I needed to make a small weld. I was willing to pay more for the auto dimming feature. To deter theft, I welded a nut onto a bolt on a bike rack on a clear summer day in the shade. Those glasses were useless. Once I heated the metal enough to "stroboscopically" weld the lenses, the dark flashed to glow, then the dark closed. I've tried all 3 darkness settings - 8, 10, 12 - with the same result. Fit…

Protects the eyes, very comfortable and does not fog up too much

I sweat a lot and when I cook in the summer I sweat more than a person should. I can ride for quite a while before they fog up which is great for me. Most lenses instantly fog up when my sauna-like face gets close to them. They darken quickly and I haven't experienced any eyestrain from using them. I got a little burned in the sun welding the bottom of my jeep with it, but it was my fault and lack of sanity. I had an issue with the first set I bought and the seller promptly replaced it with no…
