I used these to install aftermarket tweeters on my 2017 WRX. The brackets exactly matched the screws where the original tweeters were sticking out. I had to trim them with a dremmel to match the tweeters I installed. I simply used a glue gun to glue the tweeters to the bracket and screwed them back to the car.

Works great. I had to make sure the tweeters were as close to my 2016 Crosstrek as possible. I had to remove the grilles from the tweeters but I still didn't need them on the tweeters. Once removed, they fit perfectly under the Subaru grills on the dash. The adapters themselves are strong but easy to cut. I used a 2" hole saw and the tweeters fit perfectly. Definitely makes the job easier and looks professional.

I took them to help install the tweeter on a 4th generation Toyota 4Runner. The front doors feature crazy 2-3/4 speakers and I wanted to try out some of the components instead. The 1" tweeters that came with my kit match the brackets perfectly and screw right into the door bracket. Hot glue to secure the tweets in place. You can definitely do this with a piece of wood if you have a bandsaw/jigsaw, but for the price I think the cost/time ratio is okay. This can help you.

Great design. I had to attach the tweeter brackets to the back of the front door as the tweeters I bought rubbed against the front door panel and I didn't want clearance. If you want to mount it on the back, you will need to cut some material off the back of the adapter to make room for the mount. This is a very simple process. The rear mounting creates enough clearance that I believe it will fit in any tweeter. See pictures for explanation. I am very happy with these adapters. l

So I got them and as expected I had to modify a bit to get the tweeter to fit this shape. It's a solid 1/4" thick and made out of some sort of PVC/rubber composite. I tried using a utility knife and cutting the hole slightly larger, but it wasn't advisable. Luckily I have my finger in the garage not lost and realized I had a small drum sander for my cordless drill. I wanted to add tweeter to my 2015 Subaru Forester but the tweeter kit offered by Subaru is almost $100. I'm not a music lover so I don't see a need to spend that kind of money, especially when a decent pair of tweeters is under $20. Problem?
