Spectra Industrial Fuel Tank F26E: Next-Level Performance and Durability Review

Very cheap for what you get. You get far from clear instructions on how to change the sender. All parts, including the gasket and retaining ring, are included so all you need is patience when modifying the transmitter unit to properly read and collect fuel from the much lower floor of this tank.

I installed this tank on my 1997 long cab Ford F250HD XLT, but after reading other POSTS, I first took my tank to a cooler shop and boiled it to remove all the cosmolin which me cost $50. 00 dollars and saved me a lot of time and money in the future. The tank information is incorrect, this tank fits this truck and comes with all equipment.

I used this on an 86 F260 with a 6.9 IDI diesel engine. I have a platform without a spare tire so access and installation was easy. I had to modify my exhaust to fit, mine was a 5 inch exhaust that fell on the rear axle. I just cut it off under the body and brought it in front of the tires. Good quality, fits just like the original. Installed on a 1996 F350 diesel engine. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it comes with a pickup tube extension and the return size is not suitable for my application. I solved this problem by welding an extension to the pickup tube. Also nothing is supplied to extend the float arm for the gauge. I used a piece of TIG wire that I welded an extension to and I had to bend it. I bought this for my 1993 Ford F250 7.3 idi. The exchange was told it didn't fit my truck, the only reason I found it different was because the cutouts that the fuel gauge fits were different. I fixed it by adding new snippets. The included conversion kit is so-so. I couldn't find a way to easily extend the return hose.
