🛢️ Spectra ST03 Fuel Tank Strap for Industrial Use Review

As advertised, great item, good fit for 1992 F 150 Medium Tank. The straps require some work with a rubber mallet to adjust them to the flats and curves of the tank. Very tight fit, I cut out an old bike's inner tube and glued it to the straps to prevent metal-to-metal wear.

Good product, well built. That's why I only give four stars. My problem was that they were too short for my application. I had a truck in my shop on my lift and needed to get it running, so I got it running with a 5" bolt. According to the order info it would fit. The short strap was too short for me (but I didn't need it anyway), the longer strap was about four inches shorter for my 95 F-1504x4.

A mile short. As other reviewers have noted, they are not long enough. I checked and double checked the truck year, tank size and capacity and ordered the belts specified. (st03). I had to use a five inch bolt on the back strap. I ended up making the front end out of strip steel from a home center. It would have saved me a lot of trouble (and some money) if I had done this in the first place. Another reviewer said it was stainless steel but not my cup of tea.

Perfect fit for my standard 1988 long body F-150 with 19 gallon side tank. The straps are longer for a short bed with a 16-gallon tank. I think that's why a lot of people struggled and said these straps are too short. That's because if you have a 16 gallon tank, they are! They fit in a 19 gallon tank. You will also have fewer problems if you take your old straps and use them as a template to bend the new straps into shape. Makes installation much easier. Hope this helps someone.
