🔩 Spectre 12-Point Intake Bolt - Performance 46523 SPE-46523 Review

Bolts are ok but washers are complete junk. They flex and the bolt pushes them into the intake bolt hole, had to use old washers.

chrome is visible in the photo. that's not chrome. My client is unhappy and now I'm not happy. The quality of the screws is good, the tool is questionable.

I got these because I needed to fit a new High Pro intake manifold on my rebuilt engine. It's always a good idea to replace all intake bolts with every replacement because, as you'll discover from your own bittersweet experience, most standard aftermarket bolts just won't work. The included EZ Tool is handy because you can always retighten the bolts after the engine has started and the gaskets have been installed. And for the price, you just can't go wrong.

Something is wrong with the coating process. The supplied wrench will not fit the screw heads and the coating on the threads must be passed through a die. Couldn't use them and they gouged out the threads on my aluminum heads.

Absolute bullshit. I liked the screws but they were cheaper than I expected. In the pictures they look like eighth graders, but I'm pretty sure they're not even fifth graders. Also, I only tightened to 30 pounds to the manufacturer's specs, but the shims were flattened. They appear to be made of oil. Now I have to take them all out and risk ruining the gasket to replace the washers.
