Great product, fits gaskets

Specter products have always been decent, they work great on my 302, I have tall aluminum valve covers so bushing depth is not an issue for me

Pros
  • Valve cover bushing
Cons
  • Non automatic

Done: Seals

Used to install a breather in an old aluminum valve cover that didn't have a hole or oil shield, works like a charm, no oil leak and no problem with the engine.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Make sure you have tall valve covers.

My problems with them are that they are so long they hit the rocker arms on my 327 SBC. After one run on the road and back, the rubber broke and had to be replaced. They seemed to be of good quality, but I ended up buying some without a slingshot at the parts store. I'm sure they might be better suited for other uses, but not for me.

Pros
  • Rocker cover bushing
Cons
  • Some problems

Point your finger at it.

Excellent quality, both have pre-cut bottoms. The one for the PCV valve, you just push a little bit with your finger and it opens the slit. Once you do this, it will always open in the vacuum. My only problem was the air intake. Too long for my 327th hits rocker arm. The one for the PCV valve is amazing. Too bad they are sold at different depths. Just poke with your finger.

Pros
  • Spares
Cons
  • Modern

Work and sit well. One has slits so it's a breather.

Perfect fit for some of the Finned Tall replica covers I have fitted to my GTO. One of them has slits so it serves as breathing. There's no oily mess yet, but I wipe it off after every ride. I also had these in my '75 Formula with cheap tall Moroso valve covers on a Monster 455 I built. I rode them every day for a couple of years and put 15,000 miles on them and they've held up great. I would take the cut out and rub it down every week or so. In the other, I took a breather. An oily mist seeped

Pros
  • Valve cover and stem
Cons
  • Weight
