WILL NOT FIT later 5.7 SBC.

Oil dipstick tube is too large to fit in the block. When it arrived and didn't fit I called Revain and they sent me a replacement. He didn't fit either. I ended up buying one from my local auto parts store which not only fits perfectly but looks really good. After two tries and two failures I bought another product.

Not suitable, scrap and poor tolerances

Do not buy! This dipstick is complete nonsense. Doesn't fit my '95 engine block. Not only are the tolerances poor, but the entire structure is chrome-plated to make it stand out even more. Sanded all the chrome off its end, bent it into shape and even tried putting on some bearing grease. I even tried it after warming up the engine. Don't buy this junk, get Mr. Gasket or Lokar. The bracket broke off as if nothing had happened

It takes a lot of massage and love to make it work!

The tab that bolts it to the block popped out before I even got started. The tube was too big so I filed and used sandpaper to remove about .020" of the tube down to the last half inch of the tube. Then she settled in very well. close to the pipe. This allowed me to sync the handset the way I wanted and the handset was captured and secure. Now it works, looks good and I don't have to wait for a replacement.

Pros
  • Feeler Gauges and Tubes
