Speedfil A2 Hydration System Review

Fits well/easily accessible BUT. Once you take a sip, the straw will not sink into the water. Only seems to work well when full. Inefficient / You have weird ways of twisting a straw to get water. Not easy when riding.

I've tried everything I can to give this water bottle a strong chemical plastic taste. I emailed the seller and received no response. Too bad because this is the perfect bottle for my Trek Speed Concept integrated drinking bottle system.

I wrote a review earlier and my product was missing a part. I contacted Amazon and the manufacturer. The manufacturer emailed me in less than 24 hours and shipped the part immediately. I was very impressed. So far the product is working great with my existing holder.

The knee/spacer that attaches to the bottle is not secure and is therefore free to rotate. I even noticed it during my trip. I ended up wrapping it in duct tape to keep it still and replacing the straw tube with a more flexible one so I could put it down when I wasn't drinking. Good idea but crappy straw attachment system. I drive an Xlab Torpedo 400 instead of that junk.

Great kit for my bike with lots of mounting options (I also bought a handlebar mount). Also allows easy attachment of CO2 cartridges and gel packs. Like the Garmin clamp (requires slight modification to work). Doesn't work well with other bottles, you must use the one provided. I wanted to use a bigger one but no luck. Refueling works very well. Velcro keeps bottle secure. Use a large elastic band to keep the straw in the perfect position while you ride.

I've used other hydration systems that fit between aero bars but they don't always fit a small frame. I have a small ladies tricycle. This fit perfectly, did not interfere with the grip of the hands on the steering wheel and did not splash liquid when driving over uneven surfaces. It was easy to fill. A little pricey for a few plastic pieces and a water bottle, but it works. One suggestion would be to have a stiffer straw so it doesn't dangle. Or maybe even a way to secure it in place. I ended…

Leaks! The elbow joint is leaking, the straw is leaking, the bite valve is leaking. I had one for a while and it was licking so hard it was gnawing at my headset storage. I bought a new installation and changed the installation direction, and the new one flows just as much. I lost so much fluid during the trip and was a sticky mess.
