🚲 Zero Aero Walkable Cleats by SpeedPlay: Enhance Your Cycling Performance Review

I bought these hoping they would work with my old Speedplay pedals. If you look at the Wahoo website you will see that you need new pedals. Bought new pedals. Now it works great. As other reviewers have written, the round end caps should help you walk if needed. I bought an apartment three miles from home and started walking around with plugs screwed on. Having used original Speedplay Zero pedals for decades, I have to say that I am disappointed with the quality and performance of these smooth-running cleats. Problems started with installing 4 black mounting screws due to misaligned holes in the stamped bar. The next problem was that the left cleat didn't spin on the pedal, neither for money nor for love! Upon closer inspection, I found that the new (not part of this purchase) plastic part of the speed play pedal was poorly formed and too thick

I've been using SpeedPlay pedals for over twenty years and most of the time I carried a separate set of cleat covers with me that I used when I wasn't cycling. They were a problem; I lost (and didn't know it) many of them while walking. The new hiking shoes are comfortable and will not fall out if you put them on properly. When you first get them, keep checking to make sure they're there for the first two rides, in case you didn't install them correctly: then they're good until they wear out…
