Used with a Ryobi 2HP Plunge Mill for leveling live edge panels and cutting boards. A diameter of 2 inches was very practical. The edge and sharpness of the blade will hold even after planing walnut, cherry and some Padauk wood. .

I used this tool to flatten 4 cherry seats, flattening them and reducing them from 3" to 1.75". This bit works best at a depth of 1/16" but I've experimented with different depths up to a full 1/4"! The deeper you go the slower you go so it's best to stick to 1/16" but the bit never got too hot to work even at lower settings. After 4 spots were reduced the only problem was the cherry resin pooling on the blades leaving traces of torn wood fibers. This resin was easy to remove. I haven't noticed

I use this attachment on my 1/2 inch log plane so I can attach turning inserts. I use a fixture to hold the wood which allows me to work it, but my 1/2" bit was taking too many passes to complete the job. The new 2" drill speeds up the process and does a great job. It cuts clean and fast, great for what I need it for.

Cut many small cubes at a 30 degree angle from different types of wood and glue them together. After they're glued back together into a board, it usually looks like it's wrapped. It is very difficult to glue the edges of the cubes perfectly, so small deviations will make the board less flat.
