Exceptional quality and almost original fit

Almost perfect for my 2011 F150 short bed. Assembly is easy, but you should take a test ride before you actually ride. With a rainfly this tent stayed dry during a summer storm. This tent is very well made and all the poles fit perfectly!

Pros
  • Trial version for one year
Cons
  • Some small things

UNTENABLE. - Truck body and tailgate accessories

Wanted to wait until I actually USE the tent before commenting. NOW for the third time the pocket holding one of the diagonal poles has been completely ripped out leaving a whole corner of the tent unsupported and unusable. No way should that happen. These corner pockets take a lot of stress off the bars; They should be the strongest point of the structure.

  • Good thing
Cons
  • Was damaged

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

AFTER INSTALLATION IN THE ENTRANCE I REALIZED HOW EASY IT IS TO CREATE A DRY SLEEPING SPACE IN A SHORT TIME. BUILT-IN BASE PROTECTS FROM THE WEATHER. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BANDS BEFORE FOLLOWING ALL OTHER INSTRUCTIONS, THE POSTS AND TENT WILL BE PROPERLY CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER. THE MANUAL IS MADE OF WATERPROOF MATERIAL AND IS SEWN INTO A STORAGE POUCH TO ENSURE THEY ARE NOT LOST.

  • Handsfree

seam quality. doesn't look like it.

DISAPPOINTED! Bought to #optoutside this Black Friday. My wife and I installed it this afternoon and the tailgate strap had already snapped at the seam. The rest seemed fine, some of the bars had a bit of bumping to get into place but that's to be expected on first install. To be honest, I just can't get over a complete tear in the tailgate strap. I was seriously looking forward to this product and the adventures ahead, now I'm just looking for another tent until tomorrow.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Dubious purchase for seniors

Pure genius.

I installed this before to familiarize myself with the assembly. I recently took him on a hike in sub-zero temperatures and he's proved a champion. Lots of windows and vents; all have screens and zip covers. I wish the rainfly was a few inches longer all the way around, but I've withstood light freezing rain with no leaks. Not the best choice for cold weather camping, but a good choice for any weather above freezing. I can't say enough positive things about the overall design. Also great priceโ€ฆ

Great concept, mediocre parts and bad warranty

I have to give this one three stars. I took it on a recent camping trip to Arkansas and it failed miserably. This was my third time using a tent. As others have said, the bar used to get in is too long. Unfortunately, the bar split first before both ends broke in half. I had to struggle to the front before the end of my three-day trek. Apart from the broken pole, the tent is awesome. It is not difficult to install or remove and offers plenty of space. Add a truck bed mattress and you have aโ€ฆ

It can be helpful to have a friend for the initial setup.

If like me you haven't pitched a tent in ten years, this could be a problem. I had someone next to me who was way more competent than me and we installed it in fifteen minutes but if it was just me it would probably take an hour. It was waterproof but I still had some water inside the tent through the window facing the cabin and around the edges. The rain patch should be slightly larger if you expect rain. Also, if you don't like sleeping on a steel plate, I recommend getting an air mattress or

Cozy and secure on a truck bed and tailgate Accessories

You can build this on a truck bed or you can put this on the ground and then lift it onto a truck bed. Both methods are easy. The black rod inside is the hardest. I bought this model because it was easily advertised as a truck cab access window and it worked well for grabbing things out of the truck when trying to go to bed or keeping your dogs comfortable in the cab with it they can hear your voice and won't be disturbing you. Cell phone chargers are also allowed. Good function The rain coverโ€ฆ
