Practice first!

If you haven't already, you NEED, NEED, NEED to watch a video on how to put on and use these collars, but if you do, they work great and seem really harmless. They should not be loose and you should never let them out for a walk. No, my dog doesn't like wearing it on our morning walks, but he doesn't choke on his regular collar every time he sees a rabbit. She ran away with it, but quickly stops without doing any damage. I feel like now it's much safer for them to keep up with me and resist the

DropIt Group Genuine Herm Sprenger

I bought this from the DropIt Group seller. First let me say that they sent me a real Herm Sprenger. When you order it from them, you can rest assured that you're getting the right deal. I have read so many reviews from people who got fakes but these reviewers forget to let us know who they bought from so others don't make the same mistake. As for the collar, great trainer! I put my German shepherd on a board and exercise program and the pros take advantage of that. My trainer recommended I buy

This is a must have for a German Shepherd!

I didn't really want to buy a spiked collar as I thought it would harm my German Shepherd puppy. However, I found my 7 month old puppy difficult to walk in a harness even though I had trained him to walk well on a leash. He's totally out of control when he's excited. So I decided on a Herm Sprenger Prong collar. Now he walks perfectly next to me, like a working dog, and can no longer lunge at strangers. I've also noticed that he no longer pants on our walks because he doesn't put all his energy

My 4 year old can walk both 7 month old Great Danes

These collars are worth every penny. We had harnesses recommended by our trainer that worked well until the puppies were about 70 pounds each. The combined weight of an excited 140 lb puppy was becoming too much for my wife to feel safe walking the puppies on her own. We had an old spiked collar (of a different brand) that we had previously used for our lab, so we tried it on one of the puppies and it changed immediately. It doesn't pull anymore. No more fighting through the walks. The only…

Wow just wow. best in collars, harnesses and leashes

I spent about a month deciding which collar was right for my dog and I. for the same reasons as many people. In truth, I did my research and concluded that this was the best, if not the only, approach I could take. I have a 110 lb American Akita who is proudly stubborn and adventurous so walking has been a nightmare since childhood. come of age. I've tried elastic/retractable leashes, halters, padded leashes, standard harnesses, and regular store-bought collars - none of them have worked. I…

Great quality and won't turn my dog black!

For my little white rescue pup, this collar was the best! I'm not sure I'd ever try it myself because at first I thought the jagged colors were inhuman. But when I took my pup to obedience school, he had to use a choke collar (which I didn't like either). The choke collar just didn't work on him! He was so absorbed in it that he kept tugging and tugging and was the naughtiest puppy in his class! His fur was washed out after the first session. My instructor wisely advised me to try the spiked…

We can walk again!

My 48lb herding mix is very affectionate with other dogs, people, squirrels etc. It has become impossible to walk her as she is too strong for me, although she is not a large breed by any means. I couldn't even believe my dog wouldn't knock my elderly mom off her feet the short walk from the door to the car while she babysits me. It got to the point where we just couldn't go for a walk until she learned to control her impulses and walk on a leash using R+ methods, which of course would take a…
