Essential for dogs that pull

My 18 month old golden retriever pulls terribly. I haven't been able to break this habit through various other training methods. The first spiked collar walk was literally amazing. I did a 5 minute structured walk in the driveway to get her used to it and then went straight into a full walk. It was amazing to see the response to very light clicks when I needed to correct them. With the transformation in just a walk, it's clear that she will be fully controlled and back on her normal collar…

Great training collar for our "pulling " pup!

We have a very energetic 1 year old mini golddoodle puppy who would tug or pull until we started using this collar. Now she walks alongside us on a loose leash and no longer pulls, even when others pass by. She still tries to pull sometimes when other dogs come by, but she's improved a lot at that too. We untie the links to put them around the neck and then reattach them to secure. This seems like the easiest way to put a collar on her. This device works really well and appears to be very well…

  • Everything is fine!

Works wonders! for dogs

Make sure the pins are pointing away from your pet before putting the collar on your head! When it's on, just flip it over so the curved pins are next to your skin. They apply a little pressure to get her attention and it works wonders for my Weimaraner. She's three years old and full of enthusiasm, so she draws. But with that she learns to walk next to me. This has saved me from chiropractor bills several times. I was crazy and this was my last resort. It works wonders. Now she is a happy and…

Will not harm your pup, great training collar

We upgraded our 80 lb Akita pup to a spiked collar. The switch helped us reset our training and we made great progress (treat training didn't work so well with a dominant breed that wasn't motivated by food). We never use more pressure than a finger swipe. The "bump" on the collar is all we need to signal our pup to pay attention, in sync with our verbal command in the training exercise. I expect this signal to transition to a traditional or martingale collar in a few months. Conversely, 30…

My favorite exercise machine. I was first recommended by Snug Pet Resort and Academy. Distributes the weight very evenly, well made and high quality product. User errors are real so please do your research and maybe even work with a trainer if you've never used one. Teach your dog to "put a collar over their head". This type of collar is put on and taken off with prongs. Please watch the training/fitting video! It is important that you choose the right size for your dog. They come in different…

Don't accept a substitute and get advice from a trainer

Herm Sprenger is the undisputed leader, don't settle for less. Please check with a trainer before trying one to ensure proper sizing and use. This collar is a life changing dog walker when used correctly. I'm not a dog trainer myself, I've learned that from our trainer and from my own experience since I've been using the collar successfully. Please note the following: 1) Consult a trainer as there is MUCH more to walking your dog than just putting on a collar. You need to consider the leash…

First, don't put it over the dog's head! You can hurt your dog and not get the right fit. To put it on properly, pinch one of the links until it slips off the other. Essentially, just like tabs, you place it neatly right at the base of the school to make sure it stays in place. It should run just under the ears and along the dog's skull to the bottom of the jaw. A loose collar with tines can cause serious injury. Well, when used properly, it's amazing, at least from what I've seen. The only…
