It was lighter than other brands I tried. It will be easier to put on and take off after a few times. I'm still working on that with my dog. If you are looking for this type of spiked collar then Herm Sprenger is the best brand for it. The teeth feel like high quality metal, smooth and polished. Size is very important. You want spiked collars to sit very high on the neck behind their skull, and you want the collar to be snug (NOT loose) so it doesn't slip off.
