Description of SPRI Chalk Block & Chalk Ball: Enhance Performance in Gymnastics, Rock Climbing, Bouldering, Rings, Weightlifting, Pool Billiards

GYM CHALK BLOCK - 2oz magnesium carbonate, pigment free, non-toxic chalk block keeps hands dry, prevents blisters and calluses while reducing slippage during your workout. IMPROVES GRIP AND HANDLE: Great for gymnastics, rock climbing, bouldering, and all power and weight lifting activities including deadlifts, pull-ups, kettlebells and more. KEEPS HANDS DRY: Absorbs and eliminates moisture keeping sweaty hands dry and does not easily rub off so you can lift or climb longer with confidence. EASY TO USE: Block can easily be broken apart to refill your climbing chalk bag or stores well in a Ziploc bag or small Tupperware container. SUPER GRIP: Also great for other grip-intensive activities such as yoga to keep your mat dry for a superior grip.

Cheap junk: Gymnastics

I bought this chalk to help me lift weights at the gym. I understand the chalk will crumble, but this completely fell apart. It doesn't hold my hands well and makes a giant cocaine mess that no gym wants on its floor. There are better, more effective and less messy chalks out there. Spend a few bucks more and stay away from that cheap crap.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing

You get what you pay for

I think the selling price is the main selling point of this chalk but the quality reflects that. Chalk breaks/crumbs easily and wears out fairly quickly. I keep mine in my Crown Royal bag and get a handful of chalk when I go lift weights, but I'll probably switch to better quality chalk when it runs out. The particles are floating all over the place because it's such a light chalk that gets everywhere. Worth the money you pay for it, but spending a little more money and getting a heavier/more…

Dryer hands, better lifts, more confidence

Bought this for my son who is a powerlifter. He uses wrist straps, which are very helpful, but his hands are often wet and blistered so gripping can be difficult (he works in the sun). The chalk helps keep his hands drier and improves grip. He feels more confident in his exercises because his arms aren't the strongest and he has the best support. It's small enough that he can get good coverage. At first he thought he needed loose chalk, but then decided this was better. Very happy with this…

  • Certified

Long lasting, long workouts and sweaty hands may require reapplying

It does what it's supposed to do. Convenient to carry in a Ziploc bag. Easy to clean. I've used liquid chalk before, but it's sticky and difficult to clean. Regular chalk lays better and comes out easier. Update: As of August 2020, chalk is still strong. I don't use it for every workout, but I use it most recently when I started lifting weights for the Olympics during quarantine (not enough weight to lift heavy haha). Sometimes on longer workouts I have to add a little more mid workout as my…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Not for everyone

Need to conquer the world? This is for you!

Works AMAZING! I mainly use this material for weightlifting to improve support, but this material has so many different uses it's just crazy! So far I've used it for: lifting weights, pulling lids on cans and cans, cycling (I wear a little on my hands so I don't lose my grip and so my hand doesn't slip off the bar). Oil filter from my car when changing the oil! The chalk dried the oil perfectly, and I was able to "grab" all the products at once - bring, turn the smart car on its side, throw it…
