Very good. suitable for cutlery and knife accessories

very nice set. Ceramic stones are very hard and almost polish the edge of the blade. This is the final step in sharpening, sort of the first polishing step after the rougher stones have leveled the edge. I usually use a sliding stone (tear stone) and make the final marks around the edges. Then I move on to ruby stones mirror polishing the edge and finally I put on the end of the slings. These stones are also excellent for gunsmithing and for working and finishing other metals. Again, sharpening

Trigger Jobs best in Knife Sharpener

These are great for trigger jobs. Ultra-fine edges and various shapes make it easy to polish sharp surfaces. I would estimate the abrasiveness of these stones to be around 3000 units. It doesn't give you a high gloss finish, but it does smooth the surface enough for crisp, clean breaks. Good hard surfaces show no wear after working with about 5 triggers. The leather case is a nice touch to keep it together but offers no protection from breakage. I recommend keeping them in a nice hard case if…

Good ceramic file - product description with bad details

If I were to replace the triangular shank in my Spyderco ceramic stone set I would give it 5 stars - because it's good. However, the exact description of the product is wrong. ! It says "Product dimensions: 5.5" x 0.8" x 0.8" but it's not. I needed a triangular ceramic file that was at least 0.5" in short sizes, so the advertised 0.8" would have been fine, but they were wildly wrong. Applicable: size 5 x 0.25 x 0.25 inch. In their defence, the original product title is "Spyderco Triangular…

Perfect for unusually shaped edges!

I have woodworking and leather cutting tools that require special treatment to keep them shockingly sharp and cut cleanly and easily. These ceramic stones don't meet all of my needs for sharpening odd shaped cutting profiles, but they are a sure start to upping my sharpening for professional looking leather and wood! I also have a full set of Spyderco Bench Stones and I don't know what to do with all my flat edged tools without them! They gave the finishing touch to planes, flat chisels and…

I liked it a lot, bought another one

This is my second replacement set. I've used them to sharpen everything from paring knives and pocket knives to hobby knife replacement blades, pencil sharpener blades and so on. The small size and different shapes meet almost all my grinding needs. Although you don't need to use any kind of lubricant when working with ceramics, I've found that adding a bit of Ballistol or another oil helps get even nicer edges. After my first set had a tiny, tiny, tiny chip on a square piece, I used it fairly…

Excellent product for carpentry and fine sanding.

I have used these sharpening rods many times over the past half year or so to sharpen the blade on chisels/chisels of all kinds (including very small veneers and noodle blades - almost without not having this set) , several adzes, curved knives and pocket knives. After the last pass on the leather belt, I keep getting tools that can cut perfectly. I will be very comfortable with it when it comes to sharpening kitchen knives, field tools, etc. The only downside I can point out. Please note I do…
