SRAM 9Sp Long Cage Black Review

After about 40 miles the turnbuckle bent and the main body broke when it drove into my spokes. I should have known it was too cheap, mostly plastic anyway.

Works straight out of the box with no problems. I wanted to give my old full suspension a new drive and that worked great. I installed it on an 11-40t rear cassette and it works great. I recommend. Sram does good things.

First time with SRAM and am very impressed. The actuation ratio of 1:1 is very accurate. Paired with an SX-5 Grip Shift for my Saeco Cannondale road bike project with a 1998 1x9 45T bar in the front and 11-40 in the rear. The shifting was so precise that I didn't spend too much time adjusting it. No need for a longer B screw Two thumbs up.

As a workshop, I have to order and assemble all kinds of chassis. This X-5/9spd effortlessly shifts every gear as precisely as a Sram 9-speed thumb shifter. Excellent sequential up+down, pluge+downshift, it goes up 3 gears in one push. Precise equipment. works for me + client. Mike's bike repair.

Looked online and this is the closest comparable X9 replacement. Mine in, on the bike and the "clutch" couldn't even hold my chain, no matter what the setting, my chain was always slack. I ended up taking the joke wheel off and putting it on my crooked X9 for now. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because please don't buy it as an X9 replacement.

I had to replace my 12 year old SRAM X.9 derailleur. No matter what I did to adjust, he kept missing transmissions. Even after replacing the rear derailleur chain and cable. I'm not a bike mechanic and this was my first derailleur change. It took me a long time to set up "H" and "L". Everything should be right, including derailleur and cable tension. However, once properly configured. It works well and solved my shifting problem.
