Do not buy this part if you constantly remove the front wheel.

This was an OEM replacement part for my mountain bike. I thought the original thru-axle was damaged on the rocky Arizona trails, but it turns out the notch is made of a thin material that flexes when the wheel is removed from the bike.

You still need an Allen key.

I've had it for 6 months now and use it for about 3 months. Every ride I have to remove a wheel to put the bike on a bike rack (SeaSucker Roof Mount) so I wanted something that would be comfortable. Every time I loaded and unloaded, having to fish out the Allen key was excruciating. Pros: It solves the problem above - I can pull the wheel out without tools. for some time. Cons-1) The adjuster that controls how much tension is required to lock the lever loosens itself after a few uses, requiring
