Perfect replacement

Original SRAM rear derailleur broke after 10 years. It was the perfect replacement. WARNING - It's not easy to route cables through the derailleur and down through the cable conduits - or at least not on my bike.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • unreliable

Great budget version of SRAM.

Nice and crisp shifting. It also allows you to double the displacement. It's a bit odd not having a matching left brake lever as I have a 1x system with no derailleur. But it's bad living with a strange couple.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in black

Just as good as the original. Excellent quality

Product received later than planned. I am in Australia. The switches came with all cables and external cables. The external cables are black, my Pinarello FP Duo has red ones, no big deal. I took it to the workshop, they installed it simply and easily. A new strip tape was not required. I replaced the old one because I hit a metal guard that cracked the switch body. This new one took me back to when the bike was brand new. Upshifting and downshifting became smooth again.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Discontinued model

I prefer them to the Shimano Ultegras I've ridden. Two reasons: the cables run through the hood and along the steering wheel, giving it a much cleaner look, and all shifting is done by pushing the paddle in one direction, meaning I can pull it over my mustache if I want to . Oh, and they're compatible with the Sram X9 clutch derailleur, so you can run a nice 1X10 setup on your motocross bike cheaply. Well, cheaper than an overall 1X11 installation.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

nice shift knob good for shifters and parts

Received in the mail today, installed and set up, I look fantastic, the carbon has a kind of matte finish and the entire top is solid rubber which is very hard to the touch and well put together. It fits my hand perfectly when I push it into the driving position, it took me a while to figure out how to double-tap to shift gears, and it was a little intimidating driving cars and trying to shift gears to learn again (riding in a middle jersey). Combined with an Apex rear derailleur and Ultegra…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some issues
