Durable, lighter than a bicycle.

Purchased to replace the stout that was on my 2016 Specialized Rockhopper. I bought this because the one my bike came with didn't have the small spare ring that I tend to use on most local trails. He's done the whole cross country season with all the training sessions in between and I have to say I'm very happy with him. Mud, mud, sand and all the dusty conditions plus all the jumping and there was no sign of fatigue or stress so I'll keep pumping. :)

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Does a great job

Well it's a grip that works great on my 21 year old Specialized Stump Jumper which I still ride 21 years later. Not as good as the original crank but for my bike this quality hasn't been on the market for years (or so insanely expensive it's insane). It's not a bad crank, and it's not great, but it does the job well. I'm just ignoring its fairly plain looks. Update: After a season of mountain biking, this crank worked great on my Stump Jumper. No shifting issues and it still runs smooth and…

Great replacement cranks

I have a 2005 Specialized Hardrock disc mountain bike with TruVativ cranks. One day the pedal came loose from the crank and I found that the aluminum threads in the lever had snapped. I bought a faucet and coil to fix it because the local bike shop was too eager to do this. I ended up wasting 20-30 bucks and my time on it because it didn't work. After a long search for replacement connecting rods (because TruVativ no longer makes mine), I decided on these. The bike shop installed it in no time…

Flips like butter, wears like butter.

UPDATE July 2020: Just a month later, while riding, the non-drive side lever came loose. I used Loc-Tite on the mounting screws during initial install, but no. Broken and no longer good. And I put them on a brand new Shimano bottom bracket. The drive side stayed tight, so I just put the stock Shimano arm on the non-drive side, used Loctite, and it didn't come loose. I really expected more from SRAM. Save yourself the hassle, avoid those cranks. Original review June 2020: Very good MTB crankset…
