Mounted on Thor Vegas 24.1 Motorhome (E450 chassis)

I have Sumo front springs (blue) installed on my motorhome. You'll need a jack with sufficient weight capacity to take the weight off the hanger - about 4 to 5 inches or so. I used a 6 ton bottle jack with 4 pieces of 2x6 in it. Installation is very easy if you have proper tool handling skills. The Sumo virtually eliminates body roll in turns while only slightly stiffening the ride. This is a very useful setup for large truck and RV owners.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Reduced sway, improved handling

Arrived as expected. The instructions that come with it are good and clear. Installation on my 2010 Winnabego VIA (Sprinter 3500 chassis) was easy but took a little longer than expected, mainly to boot the car up safely. Reduced sway and severe sway when turning and turning off the roadway. Noticed an improvement in handling at high speeds. At the same time, a Hellwig stabilizer was installed. The combination led to a significant improvement. Very satisfied, although we still feel bumps on the…

My Sprinter drives more like a car

YES I highly recommend this if you have a Sprinter! In combination with the rear sumo springs, rear anti-roll bar and shock absorbers, my van handles and drives very well. Because the Sumo springs are preloaded and supported by rear axles and front A-arms, they react instantly to changing road conditions. This helps with wind and bumps, speed bumps (especially bumpy or diagonal ones) and cornering. Because the sumo is bouncy, I ride with confidence and can spin 3-5 mph faster than before.

Should update: shocks, struts and suspension

Installed these on my 2015 MB Renegade Villagio 25' RV (14 build). To loosen the lock nut you need a 14 mm deep socket, which is accessible from above the stock fender. Did one side at a time, jacked it up with a 3 ton jack and turned the wheel to expose it. took 10 min. max. on the side. Can confirm the expected results: tighter steering, less sway. A nice bonus was that you CANNOT dive while braking. I was really surprised by this discovery. Sweet. OEMs are ridiculous. As for the price, it…

SumoSpring fender on Sprinter/Winnebago Via 25C

My Mercedes Sprinter Winnebago Via 23C was swaying too much due to strong cross winds and passing trucks. So much so that the dogs got seasick and the trip from Florida to Kentucky became unbearable. These SumoSpring bumpers help reduce front end impact and offer much better stability than factory bumpers. Installation requires a bit of planning with a 13mm deep manhole and an extension. Spray the old factory locknuts with a Rust Blaster to make them easier to remove. A 13mm deep socket is…
