Description of 🎨 STABILO Carbothello Pastel Pencil Set - 60 Vibrant Colors, 1-pack (1460-6)

Charcoal-like feel. Highly pigmented colors. 4.4 mm diameter lead. Great results on dark or toned papers or surfaces. Finished artwork can be treated with a fixative.

Necessary set for pastel colors

Nice pens. Good color palette and they are softer than FC Pitt pastels so not overdone. They work great on pastel paper for detail when combined with soft sticks. Create two nested pieces by using them in combination with Sticks and Panpastel. Get them and don't hesitate because you won't be disappointed

Pros
  • Easy to use

solid product. Great price

I've heard all along that CarbOthellos is the best value when it comes to pastel pencils. Pastel colors are expensive. I was able to buy them in an open box as the box was completely broken but the pens were in perfect condition. The colors are great and harmonize well with the paper. They contain a lot of dust. So if you have a white carpet, you can put something in it to prevent the dust from staining the carpet. Although I'm a beginner, I've done extensive research on which pastel pencils…

Lessons Learned: Artist & Painting Supplies

I did not purchase this set because many of the sets I have purchased have been very disappointing. I swore to myself that I would only buy the best from now and forever and spent a fortune on it. But this is the first ad on amazon.com. And it's too cheap to be good, right? Finally, I love my $400 Caran D'Ache 72 pencil set. I would give the case and cuff for a Conte a Paris pastel pencil set with over 48 colors. I WAS WRONG! The colors I've been missing from my "high" art collections are in…

Holy Grail! - Pencils

I own several high end brands of colored pencils (Faber Castell, Derwent and Conte a'Paris) and this one. Wow, I feel stupid spending a fortune on the above. Seriously, these pens are amazing. The Holy Grail, and I'm not exaggerating! These pens are wonderfully chalky, but not too chalky to leave too much powdery residue with each stroke. They are rich and highly pigmented, so the colors remain even when rubbed with a finger. And it's so easy to layer when you want more brilliance. This set of…

Hey! stabilized! Why the awful second tray?

I love these pastel pencils. And I liked the Stabili lenses with their markers. But the bottom try in this 60 piece set is so awful it's worth a full star. There are 24 pens on the top shelf and there is some space between them, so - ah! new idea here! - You really can take a pencil. The bottom shell contains the remaining 36 pins. And when I say jammed, I mean they're packed so tightly in there that not only can't you get a pen out of the tray, but the effort of doing so will knock half a…

Yes, I love Carb-Othello pastels.

This is my favorite colored pencil set. I love working with charcoal because it blends so well. I have several sets of crayons and while each set has its pros and cons, these are my favorites. (Every artist has their favorite material. I'm an aspiring artist to be honest.) This is also my favorite because some of the other kits I have don't have the color choices that this one has. For example, in some other kits, I keep duplicating the same color by simply changing the name of the color…

5 Star Art, Painting & Craft Product

Let me start by saying that I am not an artist, I only paint in coloring books as a hobby. So take my stand for what it is - as an amateur who loves trying new techniques and learning about art. I looked at quite a few reviews comparing different brands of pastel pencils. Most reviewers agreed that Stabilo makes some of the best pastels, and when the price dropped to a whopping $46, I jumped at it. As you can see, I have colored many pages with these pens and love them madly. I can fill in…
