Thought I could use this knife for butter fresh out of the fridge - doesn't work any better than a regular table knife. Works well when the butter is soft, just like a regular table knife.

I wish I had had this knife many years ago. It fits perfectly in the hand and transfers solid butter from the plate to the food. The knife is well made and I think it will butter my bread while I'm here. Good product! Thanks very much!

This is a useless trick. Cold butter doesn't curl up and is easier to spread. The slits are cut too far from the edge to be effective. A simple, flat, semi-flexible, stainless steel spatula is much more effective at removing and spreading cold oil from the stick. This is a useless gimmick at best.

I mainly use this for holes to separate thyme leaves from the stem, large hole for larger leaves like mint. It would be great if they had more holes of different sizes! Ha! I bought one of these on Kickstarter for a friend about 5 years ago. He uses it for butter. Understand! The box is beautiful and the knife is brand new, it makes a fun but stylish gift!

When I'm organized, I often grab butter from the fridge while waiting for dinner or service. The features of this knife allow me to work with cold butter straight from the fridge. Notches on one edge and small grommets on the opposite edge to remove small swirls of oil from the stick. Strong weight with good balance and dishwasher safe.

This knife came in an impressive gift box and it's even more impressive than its box! It's heavier, longer, and stronger than most butter spreaders, and has the advantage of having a serrated edge for slicing through bread and small holes near the other edge for skimming the top of the butter to spread is cold. They don't bother cutting butter at room temperature or spreading it. Perfection!

I absolutely love my butter spreader and it has recently become my everyday tool. Came in a very presentable box, the knife itself is made of high quality stainless steel. It feels like high-end cutlery. Light and comfortable knife. It will delight your mornings as a good accompaniment to your morning coffee or tea, just make sure your butter is melted and you will fall in love with your toast.

I have to say this knife is beautiful as is the box it came in; However, this doesn't work as I expected. With a few strokes of the knife I got short curls, and they were still too cold to spread on regular bread. The ads make it seem easy, but it's not. Spreading it on toast and hard rolls seems ok, but not on plain bread, and I've tried it several times. Once the holes are filled with any amount of oil, some of it will still remain in the holes, making it not as economical. Eventually…
