Just what I needed for specialty tools and gadgets

My sink recently failed and I just knew I had to start doing something to make sure it didn't happen again. This funnel helps a lot. The stainless steel is wide and thick enough to withstand liquids that are still hot when I pour them into a container. Even when pouring from a heavy cast-iron skillet, there's no spilling. The neck is concave to allow air to flow through the neck of the container without burping or splashing. I love it.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Out of style

This is a well made stainless steel funnel.

I don't have two of these funnels as they come in handy for separating hot liquids and larger solids in bulk. I've used them for hot oil after using the fryer and for various other hot and cold liquids over time. I prefer this over the silicone rubber funnels that I also have as the wide area to the funnel fits tighter into the container mouth than the friction material that is normally placed in vertical strips on rubber funnels.

  • Good product for the price

potential rust problem

I bought this to pour hot water into my glass bottles. I didn't want to use a plastic funnel because the plastic funnel didn't say "no BPA" exactly. So I got this metal funnel for it. That worked wonderfully at first. However, after a few weeks I noticed a very slight rust color on the pins that attach the handle to the funnel itself. I rubbed vigorously with a wire brush and now I can barely see the rust staining. I took off 3 stars because I don't think food grade stainless steel should have…

great idea, bad execution

The big cup on the funnel idea is amazing. I finally found out that here is a large funnel that I can use for a large amount of liquid in a short amount of time. no The air has nowhere to go. The funnel seals the container you are trying to fill. The more liquid in the funnel, the better it seals and drains painfully slowly. You'll need someone to hold the funnel to allow the air to escape, or just be patient and fill it up slowly.

Does the job but I would avoid it

Three things. First, the largest funnel was slightly dented, but not to the point of being unusable. On the other hand, there is an overlap between the inner wall of the funnel and the central tube. This causes powder, granular objects, etc. to get stuck and not get inside. While most go in, some get stuck and don't come out until they're washed. I see it building up after a few uses. Finally, after the first use, it started to rust. I would send it back but it's almost not worth it. Save…

Terrible - DO NOT BUY

Real stainless steel but otherwise totally useless. The production leaves an exposed and rough "edge" at the junction of the spout with the funnel body. This is problematic for several reasons: (1) It's a non-NSF compliant part (it's unlikely to clean properly and could encourage microbial growth), so you can't use it for food, beverage, or anything else in the lab , it prevents the hopper from completely emptying which means you may lose or stick together some of the materials you placed…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Not high quality and sharp edges

The edges of the metal are quite sharp. You must be very careful when washing, holding and using this funnel. If not, you can cut yourself. At first I wanted to return it and get a refund but I needed it urgently so I just used it. It's badly done. I see that the opening of the hopper gets dirty over time because food gets stuck easily. It's a nice large size that does the job of transporting liquid but doesn't stay in place. When the liquid passes, it doesn't stop but keeps moving. Rather…

Poor eyesight is a big help

I'm almost completely blind and pouring water into the back of a coffee pot every morning was a nightmare so I found this end product online and ordered it. Good thing is that it also has a strainer function, in case something accidentally gets into the last part, it doesn't get into the coffee pot. This sturdy construction just feels good and I'm pretty sure it's almost indestructible. I just stick the funnel into the rear reservoir, pour water into the nozzle, it has a big wide opening, fill…
