🚗 Universal Euro License Plate Holder - Standard Black Mounting Frame/Bracket Review

Here's the thing: if your car's front bumper is perfectly flat, no problem. But if, like me, you have a dented bumper - in my case (2014 Mercedes C350 Coupe) about 2-3 degrees on each side, then this bracket will quickly fail. Car washes will eat them up no matter how many screws you use to attach them. Plastic just isn't made to bend — not at all.

Fitting the European number plate to the Smart was not an easy task. Combined with this reviewed item and another license plate bracket, we were able to combine the two and get them to work. I will say that this frame is well constructed and its flexibility in assembly is actually a plus as the rigidity of the actual board adds strength. Goodbye.

I use it as an adapter between my US license plate holder and an old German license plate. The German number plate has the original holes drilled at the top of the two signs, as well as later holes drilled more or less directly above. I was planning on fitting the bezel to the original number plate bracket and screwing the number plate to the holder for extra security, but the holder doesn't have holes for the euro number so I'm hoping now that the clips will hold up well enough in the long run

Flexible and looks strong once the plate is in place. The only problem was that this happened on a 2013 Mini Cooper S. The holes for the plate frame are only 5" apart so I had to buy a separate plate mount to attach this frame. But in the end everything worked out great. Note. The flex of the frame is great, but you'll need shims (see pictures) to ensure the frame doesn't "buckle" around the screws.

I have a valid German number plate which I had on a Porsche 911 SC when I spent a year as a consultant in Munich in 1978/9. Broken camper.
