Solid Radio in Marine GPS Chartplotters

Excellent radio. Replaced the 20 year old Standard Horizon. My plan was to power the GPS from the NMEA0183 chart plotter, but the internal GPS fixes after about 30 seconds despite being installed in a below deck navigation station (fiberglass sailboat). With a mast antenna, it has a long range.

Just note the second station Ram 3+ will not work with this radio

Good radio and excellent in every way but the description says the Ram3+ is compatible. Requires RAM4. The description says it works but the actual manual calls for a Ram 4. Had to send the Ram3+ back and the Ram4 didn't come in white or they ran out which was disappointing.

BUILT-IN GPS NOT WORKING

I installed the radio hoping the built in GPS would work but it doesn't work. I tested it outside the cabin but it doesn't work. The second Stantard Horizon radio I bought for my new sailboat failed both. The first was the GX2200, the screen never worked. The problem is that I live in Chile and nobody at Standar Horizon was responsible for the guarantee.
