Cut the end of the connector and connect directly to the standard Horizon Matrix GX3000s. Works perfect! Install it under the fiberglass deck on a sailboat, it works great.

I ordered this unit hoping it would work with an old Raymarine Raychart RC425 chartplotter with the same NMEA 187 connector. The product itself is very good and has all the pole or surface mount parts except for the pole and base. If you have a chartplotter that will work with it, I highly recommend it.
