Fixed my slow fuel injection problem

I thought it couldn't be the cause of my slow fuel injection nightmare, I was wrong. I guess time will tell but for now I'm relieved to automatically get 5 stars.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

  • Negative impression

Saved me so much money!

The dash light was on for years and I knew what it was for, but it cost $120 to fix due to the high cost of replacing the sensor. This secondary market went over 1/6 the value and I jumped at it. It works flawlessly in my 06 Silverado and I can't get enough! The service light on the dashboard no longer lights up.

The check engine light went out!

This is an exact replacement for my truck. Connecting the lead was a little fiddly because I had to cut it off the old part because the factory heat had shrunk it. I then had to reheat it to soften it enough to put the new piece on. Also, it was pretty easy and after a little movement the check engine light went out. Hope it lasts long.

Pros
  • Few competitors

  • Some bugs

Fixed error code P0449. Best-in-Parts

My long engine light issue on my 05 Silverado 5.3 has been resolved. P0449 was a code that showed up for years and went away with this simple parts swap. The part itself was attached to the front of the fuel tank. I had to purchase a 1/2" rubber heater hose and two clamps to replace the hard plastic hose that was attached to the original part. Plus, plug and play.

Pros
  • Grand Prix
Cons
  • Communication with Seller

I should have known better.

Good. I should have known better. No, that is not so! compatible with Silverado 2008. (but can be modified in a pinch) A canister has 2 ports on a truck and this one is a port and more. However, I did remove the valve from the new one and attached it to the old canister. The electrical connector is the same. That will work. The hose is a little tricky to put on but I did it using a heat gun to expand it and a zip tie to secure it. Engine light off, no new codes. helps to be at hand.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Piggy bank Price

Works on a 2006 Silverado

Works great for removing the check engine light. I used it on a 2006 Silverado and it's not exactly the same as the original. The original has an entrance and an exit, but this one has only one entrance. I'm assuming it's self-venting, while the original connected its outlet to a different vapor hose with a spark arrestor or some sort of screen at the end. I left the old hose assembly/spark arrestor in the chassis but couldn't connect it to this unit. Engine started, drove around the block, 30โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Works great, just read my review.

It didn't look like mine at first. I have two connections, one to the filter, the other to the charcoal filter. But all I needed was the solenoid so I took it off that one, put it on mine and reset the code, now I don't have the check engine light on. The part in Autozone is $97, that's $19. In case you can't figure out how to remove the solenoid there is a clip at the top, pull up, rotate the solenoid away from you and pull out. Also, the wiring harness is different on this solenoid, so you'll

Easy repair, perfect for 2007 Silverado 4.8L

Used for 2007 Silverado 4.8L. The electrical plug fits well, no adapter required. The original canister had both an inlet and an outlet leading to a long hose (about 5-6 feet) with a small filter on the end. This replacement part has only one inlet port. The price for a genuine part for a 2007 Silverado was about $100. I read on the internet that this replacement part would work fine so I gave it a try. It is very easy to remove the old part. Simply cut the heat shrink tubing, disconnect theโ€ฆ
