I have a Jeep YJ 87. The original 4.2 is gone and now has a new Golen 4.6 stroker. I've had trouble finding an oil delivery unit that actually gives the right reading. Well I read another review that said they used it in an 89 Jeep YJ and I agree it works in my 1987.

I have had no problems with my product, it replaced the original oil lift unit on my Wrangler 88 (with a 4.0 liter replacement) from Cherokee '94), but I can assure whoever buys this if you have a Wrangler 87-90 4.2L it will fit too

I put a 2001 4.0 liter engine in my 1990 Jeep Cherokee and the oil pressure sensor is in a different location than before so it needed to look like the original . its proximity to the back of the block. It had to have a defined circumference of no more than two inches around its widest point to clear the block.
