fixed oil pressure gauge with binding

Works well on 2004 Silverado LT Fixed an issue that caused the oil pressure gauge to show 80 when the key was on. Honestly, without a dedicated outlet, it would be too difficult

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Disappear

The picture distorts the real product. DO NOT BUY!

The picture they use to list this $43 unit shows a brass oil pressure switch, when in fact they are the same cheap aluminum units that sell for $14 . I feel excluded.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Modern

Great product, the best of switches and relays

Worked great, easy to install and fixed the 80psi problem on my 05 Escalade. Just note that on the 6.0L the sensor is far from the firewall on top of the engine. I had to bend over to the engine, disconnect the fuel line, bleed it from the PCV and grab it with a 27mm deep socket after unplugging it. Got in much easier. I would give 5 stars if there was sealant on the threads. Don't forget to add some before installing.

Did not solve the problem

the product did not work. After installing this product on my LS4 engine, the problem did not go away. (Low oil pressure). A week later I bought another oil pressure sensor at a car dealership and it solved my problem immediately. The physical difference I noticed with both products was that the one I ordered from Revain was made out of copper and the one I bought at the dealership was made out of aluminum just like the original. I don't know if that made a difference.

2006 Tahoe Fixed oil pressure gauge on dash.

The sensor is not made of brass but aluminum but it works. Is there cheaper to find. β€’ Fixed the 2006 Tahoe dash oil pressure gauge to read correctly (40-45) at idle. β€’ The gauge on the dashboard was 0 psi or 80 psi, now it's fine. β€’ Installation sucks, not easy but worth it. . Watch your knees, use knee pads, a foam board and gloves. If you have big hands, I'm sorry. β€’ Requires 27mm long socket or 1-1/16 long socket, U-connector and extension. (YouTube it) β€’ The sensor is behind the engine…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
