If you suddenly lose all fan speeds in your car, you may have a bad resistor. If you're losing speed at all, you might have a bad resistor :} This particular car (Durango) is also notorious for plug melting, so you might need more than just a resistor.

Ideal for 2003 Dodge Dakota. Fixed an issue where all fan speeds other than HIGH did not work at all. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. The device lasted exactly 2 months, then I noticed a strange smell while driving, then I noticed that my heating fan was no longer working. Switched it to the HIGH setting and it worked, but the 3 lower speeds don't work anymore. POOH!

I ordered two of these and both blew and stopped working after a few months. I ordered it from an auto parts store for a lot of money and it came out the same. I have found that on older cars the fan motor causes this with a resistor so you will need to replace the fan motor, connector and resistor. This part works great for less money, but you may need to replace the fan motor as well.

My 2003 Dodge Dakota had an issue where the lowest fan speed setting in my climate settings behaved the same as the shutdown setting. So instead of a watch face with "Off, Low, Medium, High, Highest" settings, it was "Off, Off, Medium, High, Highest".
